Education/ Qualification
Essential criteria
- Registered General Nurse
- Demonstrate post qualification and experience in a health or social care setting
- Managerial experience
Desirable criteria
- NMP qualification or working towards
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of managing complex situations and competing priorities, in a diplomatic and professional manner
- Experience of actively working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in order to achieve a shared vision/goal
- Experience of maintaining quality standards in ones own work and encouraging others to do so in theirs
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with offenders
- Experience of working with dual diagnosis
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of the evidence based practice that underpins the delivery of Health Services
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance Frameworks used within the service
- Awareness of the Key Performance Indicators to support the achievement of local and national targets.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of specialist needs of service users within the prison environment and criminal justice systems.
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and lead others in order to achieve service objectives
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of people including: service users, carers, members of the public and other professionals
- Motivated to work towards creating a safe, open & trusting environment
Desirable criteria
- Ability to write reports and present information in a concise way.
- Ability to deliver training packages/programmes.
