Job overview:
It's an exciting time in our Pricing and Analytics department here at AXA UK. Our transformation programme is underway, aligned to AXA Retail's new Pricing and Analytics strategy. We're investing in growing our department in size and capability, across our IT systems, analytical toolset and learning and development. We're looking for a Pricing Analyst to lead and support innovative pricing projects that enhance customer value and satisfaction, strategically optimise risk and drive increased profitability. You will play a key role in developing and implementing pricing strategies that balance competitive positioning with sustainable business growth, ensuring we deliver value to our customers while achieving our financial targets.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop rate proposals that support and optimise retail performance, through analysis of mix, demand, and loss ratio trends.
• Ensure rate changes are approved, accurately implemented, and deliver the intended value.
• Conduct competitor and market activity analysis to inform pricing strategies.
• Support the development of new deals, offers and product testing initiatives.
• Ensure the customer is at the heart of all pricing decisions, ensuring fair value is delivered, with a strong focus on the impact on existing customers.
• Data reconciliation, ensuring thorough process documentation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with managers, peers, and stakeholders.
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Your skills & experience:
• Experience in an Insurance Pricing role (preferred)
• Degree (2:1 or higher) in a mathematics-related discipline
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with knowledge of tools like R, Python, or similar, and statistical techniques (advantageous)
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences
• Ability to build stakeholder relationships and gain buy-in
• Resilient and motivated, able to persevere through setbacks and work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
• Eager to learn and continuously develop skills
• Thrive in team environments
