Job overview:

We've made a significant investment in pricing capability with a comprehensive pricing transformation programme. This includes the implementation of new pricing software, market-leading modelling, and performance monitoring approaches. Our pricing structure is more aligned to focus on the key disciplines of technical pricing, market pricing and pricing governance. Do you have an interest in pricing portfolio management? If you have experience leading, developing and motivating a Pricing, Underwriting or Finance team, this could be the role for you. You'll deliver the portfolio management strategy, through robust underwriting performance projections at a granular level, ensuring incentives and deals add value. You'll deliver case-by-case pricing and underwriting decision-making in individual and small to medium enterprise (SME) areas, ensuring decisions further optimise portfolio performance. You'll build relationships with other Pricing teams, Distribution, Servicing, and Finance.

Key responsibilities:

• Produce projections of underwriting performance, feeding into Finance teams planning and forecasting.
• Collaborate with other Pricing and Insight teams to agree appropriate strategic plan and forecasting assumptions for projection models.
• Support the GUO Portfolio Management process, producing analysis and material to meet AXA Group requirements.
• Ensure appropriate value-based retention incentives are in place, rolling out initiatives to front line teams, recommending appropriate corrective action is taken if underperforming.
• Collaborate with AXA Retail Pricing and Distribution teams to agree new business initiatives, rolling out into Sales and Operational teams. Recommend appropriate corrective action is taken if underperforming.
• Confirm risk underwriting and referral decisions at case-by-case level are appropriate and in line with underwriting guides, automating decisions or delegating to front line teams where possible, with positive underwriting audit results.
• Review large SME pricing carried out by Corporate Pricing team. Ensure it's appropriate for risk.
• Make sure customer impact is considered in all risk underwriting decisions, ensuring fair treatment of customers.
• Lead the Portfolio Management team, coaching and developing direct reports, ensuring priorities are aligned with AXA Health business objectives and the impact of deliverables is well understood.
Work arrangements:

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Your skills & experience:

• Previous experience leading, developing, coaching and motivating a Pricing, Underwriting or Finance team.
• Expert knowledge of the dynamics of the private medical insurance (PMI) market.
• Comprehensive understanding of the regulatory environment in which AXA Health operates.
