PMO Lead

Description

Join AXA Health as a PMO Lead and help us deliver value to our customers through our new product-focused approach. You'll support our product teams within a specific Tribe or Value Stream, ensuring they stay aligned with our strategic goals. You'll oversee governance, reporting, and frameworks, making sure teams work efficiently and with clarity. Your insights will help us make better decisions and improve our ways of working.

You'll foster collaboration and continuous improvement, creating an environment where teams can innovate and adapt quickly. This is a great opportunity to help deliver strategic projects at scale, keeping AXA Health agile and customer-focused in a changing healthcare world.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at our Tunbridge Wells office, visiting clients or attending industry events. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you'll be doing:

• Establish and maintain governance frameworks to support informed decision-making and improve delivery speed and quality.
• Provide visibility and control to ensure the Tribe aligns with AXA Health's strategic goals and delivers value.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to optimise ways of working using Agile practices and lessons learned.
• Develop reports offering insights on performance, risks, finances, and benefits to support decision-making.
• Engage with leadership, cross-functional teams, and the PMO to promote collaboration and information sharing.
• Assist in resource and capacity planning to optimise delivery, utilisation, and development opportunities.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalate where necessary to keep projects on track.
• Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices, refining tools, and fostering a culture of growth.
Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we're able to effectively manage interest. Therefore, if you're interested in joining us at AXA, please don't hesitate to apply.

What you'll bring:

• Ability to align PMO and Tribe activities with wider organisational goals, ensuring processes support outcomes at all levels.
• In-depth understanding of portfolio management, governance frameworks, and best practices within operating models.
• Knowledge of both Agile and traditional delivery methods, with the ability to choose and apply the most suitable approach.
• Collaboration and influencing skills to engage senior leaders, teams, and stakeholders effectively.
• Proven experience supporting transformation initiatives, embedding new ways of working, and fostering continuous improvement.
• Clear, concise communicator capable of articulating complex information to diverse audiences.
• Curious mindset with resilience and a willingness to challenge and adapt in difficult or changing situations.
• Experience with PMO, Agile, and product delivery tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, Azure DevOps, along with relevant industry experience, including financial management and delivering large-scale programmes.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
