We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Right to Work Administrator to join our People Services team on a 6 months fixed term contract. Reporting to the Sponsorship & Right to Work Advisor, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our organization remains fully compliant with immigration and employment legislation through accurate management of all Right to Work checks and records. Your expertise will help safeguard AXA against compliance risks while supporting a seamless, legally compliant employee lifecycle. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you'll be doing:
• Conduct and record pre-employment Right to Work checks in MyWorkday, ensuring all documentation is correct, valid, and securely stored.
• Maintain a centralised system of Right to Work records, regularly auditing employee files for compliance and validity.
• Monitor visa and permit expiry dates, issuing timely reminders to HR and line managers to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Develop and implement routine housekeeping processes to keep records accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with legislation.
• Provide clear compliance reporting, highlighting risks, statuses, and upcoming expiries to senior management.
• Stay informed on immigration law changes and update processes and records accordingly, acting as a point of contact for related queries.
• Support external audits and inspections by ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and readily available.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of UK immigration law, Home Office guidance, and proficiency in compliance systems like Workday, with a focus on attention to detail and confidentiality.

What you'll bring:
• Proven experience working within an HR Shared Services environment
• HR or legal qualifications such as CIPD, HR/Law Diploma are highly desirable
• In-depth knowledge of the Home Office Employers Guide to Right to Work checks
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Strong understanding of Data Protection principles and associated risks
• Proficient in IT tools and Microsoft Office packages, with the ability to update HR systems efficiently and accurately
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
• Demonstrated risk awareness and understanding of the potential impacts of compliance risks
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships and expectations
• Familiarity with completing Home Office Sharecode and ECS checks (preferred)
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
