PA (Risk and Compliance)

We have an exciting opportunity for a PA to join the Risk & Compliance (R&C) team. This is a full-time, permanent role that will be based in our Bristol office. Your working pattern will be based on 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

What you'll do

The main purpose of the role is to provide highly professional, effective and proactive support to the Director of Risk & Compliance, the senior members of the R&C Team and the wider R&C Team as appropriate, both on a day-to-day basis and in relation to specific longer-term tasks and projects. Responsibilities will also include:

  • Supporting the creation and amendment of various documents in Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Taking responsibility for all travel arrangements
  • Taking responsibility for all conference bookings and meeting room bookings in advance, anticipating and avoiding potential diary clashes, providing conference dial in or virtual meeting details as appropriate
  • Collating and processing of expenses claims
  • Collating training materials and meeting documentation
  • Managing the R&C Team's subscription logins for various online resources
  • Managing the R&C Team's budgets and invoice payments
  • Maintaining the R&C Team's intranet content
  • Organising R&C Team away days and social events
  • Recording actions from R&C Team and manager meetings; and overall assistance with the day to day management of R&C Team information
  • Maintaining the R&C Team projects list, collating updates from various team members as appropriate
  • Assisting with the delivery of a wide variety of projects within the R&C Team
  • Providing regular reporting on R&C Team projects and activities
  • Maintaining appropriate R&C Team logs and registers; and continuously reviewing and, as appropriate, revising and / or developing effective ways of working within the R&C Team
  • Developing and maintaining excellent internal and external relationships in order to support the delivery of objectives
  • Dealing with enquiries from internal clients, colleagues and third parties and providing effective transfer of information as appropriate
  • Dealing with any other reasonable requests

Your skills

As well as having an enthusiastic and positive approach, we are looking for someone with PA experience who can demonstrate the following skills:

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with the ability to remain calm and friendly even in a crisis
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - a team player, able to interact with people at all levels
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
  • Experience of diary management
  • Exceptional organisational skills, able to multi-task and prioritise work
  • Ability to work with confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, document management systems e.g. iManage)
