What is the opportunity?
This is an opportunity to lead the Strategy & Portfolio team within the newly-formed Outsourcing CoE. You will play a crucial role in crafting and implementing the Bank's outsourcing strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, and optimising outsourcing performance from both regulatory and performance standpoints!
In this role, you will:
- Drive the development and implementation of the outsourcing strategy, playbook and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the Bank's objectives
- Conduct annual reviews and updates of the strategy to maintain relevance and effectiveness.
- Continuously scan the horizon for regulatory changes and industry trends to advise and adjust outsourcing strategy, working closely with the Head of the CoE.
- Provide advice on all strategic decisions across the value chain to ensure they are consistent with the overall outsourcing strategy.
- Work with Procurement to ensure outsourcing deals are constructed effectively across the lifecycle from a commercial and architectural standpoint.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of outsourcing programmes and projects, ensuring they meet defined objectives and deliver value.
- Monitor the performance of outsourcing roadmap and initiatives, including tracking and driving benefits realisation.
- Work closely with the Reporting and Planning Team to support the preparation of regular reports and papers on outsourcing activities and strategy implementation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business units, to ensure alignment and buy-in for outsourcing strategies.
- Clearly articulate and communicate the vision and strategic direction of the outsourcing CoE to stakeholders.
- Lead change management efforts that facilitate the adopting and embedding of the outsourcing strategy across the business.
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of experts and professionals within the Strategy & Portfolio team.
What will make you stand out?
The successful candidate will have experience in outsourcing, enterprise-level vendor management, strategic planning, or a related field and have an understanding of various outsourcing models and their strategic application in banking environments. You will have proven success in leading large-scale, strategic initiatives with measurable outcomes in a financial services environment and have experience handling complex banking projects, with a focus on achieving business objectives and realising benefits.
Proven leadership capabilities, including experience in mentoring and developing high-performing teams and have outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate strategic vision and inspire change at all levels of the organisation.
Experience with any of the following will also help you to stand out;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation in outsourcing practices.
- Experience in organisational change and driving cultural transformation.

The Outsourcing Strategy & Portfolio Senior Manager is responsible for driving the development and implementation of the Bank's outsourcing strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the Bank's overall goals and responsiveness to industry trends. This role involves being responsible for outsourcing programmes by providing outsourcing expertise and encouraging stakeholder relationships to support strategy adoption and execution.
This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
