Operational Resilience Incident Manager

What is the opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Operational Resilience Team and collaborate closely with colleagues throughout the business. Working with the Senior manager, Operational Resilience Assessment Lead you will be the primary contact for the day to day Incident Management for both operational resilience, IT and Cyber Security, coordinating response to incidents as they happen.

In this role you will:

The Incident Manager is a newly created role within Operational Resilience and the role holder which will be accountable for ensuring strong operational management of:

  • Help lead and coordinate scenario testing to deliver annual test plans and desired outcomes, including identification of vulnerabilities and continuous improvements in incident management and business continuity.
  • Incident reporting as part of the operational resilience centre of excellence
  • Delivery of accurate and timely MI reporting and coordinating and overseeing that root causes analysis has been completed
  • Critical Incident manager support, including regular (paid for) on-call weekend working
  • Data collation, analysis, follow-up and meeting support
  • Liaison with Incident Response teams, including understanding training requirements, and ensuring that incidents are appropriately logged onto RADAR
  • The exposure to all parts of the Group's operations will give the role holder a spring-board into many different specialisms and an excellent opportunity to see how the Bank leads its resilience. The holder will get access to senior stakeholders in the Bank.

Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy and a strong team ethic and flexible approach in order to meet exciting objectives and timeframes.

  • Experience in BOI UK Operation business areas and managing or using business continuity plans or other relevant financial services experience
  • Confirmed planing skills and preforming secretariat duties for committees
  • Confirmed analytical and confident decision making skills
  • Proactive operating style with ability to identify issues before they impact the business
  • Customer focused
  • Excellent accuracy with a high level of attention to detail
  • Negotiation skills in order to attain staff engagement for changes to processes

While not crucial to apply the following would be a stong bonus!

  • Industry qualified at either Certificate or Diploma level for Business Continuity or prepared to study towards

More about the team

Working within the UK Operations team the Operational Resilience team is a key team ensuing effectiveness though leading the associated risks to our operational delivery stability of the bank and being able to recover rapidly from disruption. As a result the role is the first line of operational resilience team and a key pillar in the UK element of the groups' for the future programme. Operation resilience is measured through the date we collect and analyse so future improvements can continue to be implemented as part of our resilience journey.
