Operational Data Protection Manager

What is the opportunity:

This is an opportunity to join a growing, upbeat, hands-on team during an important time of growth and development!

In this role you will:

  • Serve as one of the main points of contact for the business in regard to Data Protection queries.
  • Provide expert advice and educate employees on important data compliance requirements.
  • Manage and maintain the dedicated Operational Data Protection mailbox and general enquiries.
  • Cooperate and support the DPO team on all things Data Protection

What will make you stand out:

  • Shown experience of data protection compliance work, preferably in a large organisation.
  • Excellent understanding of UK and EU data protection law and Regulations and their application in practice.
  • Experience of crafting and delivering practical compliance tools & guidance.
  • Ability to translate legal and Regulatory obligations into practical advice.
  • Experience with any of the following will help you to stand out but are not crucial in order to apply;

Certificate in Data Protection e.g. IAPP: CIPP/E; IAPP: CIPM; PDP Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection (GPDR); BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection

This team is part of BOI UK's Data, Digital & Strategic Reporting (DDAS) function. DDAS centralises Data, Digital & Analytics specialists and enables simplification, standardisation and sharing of standard process and insight development. We are a first line function whose role is to enable, guide, provide expertise and direction in all aspects of operational data protection activity across BOIUK.
