Manager - Copyright
Are you passionate about music and the intricate world of copyright? Do you have an eye for detail and a love for ensuring creative rights are protected and celebrated? BMG is looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous Copyright Manager to join our dynamic team!
As a pivotal member of our Copyright team, you will take charge of maintaining and administering BMG UK's prestigious publishing deals. This includes overseeing Contracts, Clients, Royalty Rates, and Songs. Your role will be crucial in ensuring our song registrations are timely and our data is impeccable.
Key Responsibilities.
- Overseeing the administration of the catalogue across collection societies (PRS and other PROs as appropriate).
- Managing the process of adding new songs to the database and conducting quality checks.
- Acting as a point of contact for certain VIP deals and responding to general copyright queries from clients, affiliates and PROs.
- Conducting data clean-up projects.
- Working pro-actively to improve processes and collaborate with colleagues in other departments to improve ways of working.
- Building and maintaining relationships with contacts at other publishers, societies and sub-publishers with whom BMG works.
- Keeping up to date with industry initiatives and from time to time, representing BMG in external committees or meetings.
Your Profile.
- Relevant industry experience and a solid understanding of music publishing, licensing and copyright processes.
- Knowledge of collection societies and other relevant music industry organisations.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
- Excellent administrative skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- First class communicator and the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data to make informed business decisions.

Pay Range:
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum
The above salary is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits as listed above.
