Test Competency Manager / SME

What is the opportunity?

This is an exciting role in the Bank Test Competency and will be working across the Organisation. The team will work with project stakeholders from across the organisation to deliver enhanced ways of working through implementing Industry leading test practise and fostering an environment for innovation and collaboration which will improve overall outcomes for Colleagues and Customers.

This is a newly created Test Competency team and a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Test manager/SME/Architect!

In this Role, you will:

• Continuous Refinement of end-to-end project Test delivery model (cost/schedule/scope) and put in place governance and communications structures
• Complete all reporting, control and escalation mechanisms including RAID management with appropriate actions/mitigations
• Ensure all the programmes delivers high quality product to the customers
• Drive Continuous Improvements based on Industry leading tools and frameworks to improve test efficiency and quality
• Manage internal teams, third parties and other stakeholders
• Ensure the highest levels of quality in all deliverables
• Ensure all the programmes test teams are strictly adhere with bank test delivery and governance framework
• Manage risk controls

What will make you stand out?

Experience with any of the following will help you stand out:

• Minimum of 15+ years of experience in IT (Ideally from a Banking Domain)
• 5+ year's Test Management & Test Consulting
• Very good exposure in test management including defect Management & RAID management
• Strong depth exposure in SDLC & STLC Phases, Agile and Waterfall method and delivery
• Strong Understanding of Test Automation framework & testing
• Experience in implementing & reviewing test methods, business objective and governance controls in various program phase and test deliverables like, test estimation, test strategy, test planning, test status reports & metrics
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with ability to present complex ideas in clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical groups
• Strong Experience on leading large Testing team to ensure the deliverables meets the Project requirements and the specified quality and timeline parameter
• Experience in delivering end to end testing in multiple projects
• Excellent Team management and stakeholder management skill
• Strong Leadership skills and be able to manage the managers under him/her
• Analytical and problem-solving ability
• Experience in identify and drive Continuous Improvements in the team/business area
• Ability to develop and nurture solution with limited (or changing) information
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Good hands-on experience in Jira, Confluence or relevant tools

Essential Qualifications:

• Relevant third level qualification / certification
• Ideally a formal Test Management qualification (ISTQB, Lean and Six Sigma)

• Group Test Competency team works across the Organisation to define and deliver opportunities to drive Test Delivery Excellence.
• Our Test Competency teams sits within the Engineering Services and support the Bank's project delivery.
• This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
