IT Service Manager - Capacity Manager

What is the opportunity?

You will work in a team with a broad range of experience and backgrounds across IT and the Business. Service Design is a high energy team with a strong team bond, great cross team support and the ability to enjoy what we do

In this Role, you will

  • Ensuring critical services have sufficient IT Capacity and meet Availability targets reflecting the current and future needs of the business
  • Acting as a Service Integrator across all teams, partners and business demand sources for Capacity & Availability
  • Analysis, monitoring and contribution to the Capacity & Availability framework for all critical IT services.
  • Owning, maintaining, measuring and educating multiple parties on the Capacity & Availability management process, policy, controls and risks.

What will make you stand out?

You will have an excellent understanding of the Availability & Capacity process and policies, with experience building IT Capacity models and undertaking service analysis will make you stand out!

Experience of delivering results through cross team collaboration will give you an advantage along with good broad IT systems knowledge and skills especially ITIL, and advanced analytic tools skills like PowerBI.

Experience of managing work across a multi-vendor outsourced environment is important, along with problem solving, and the ability to provide a first clss service delivery.

Essential Qualifications

There are no specific qualifications or minimum educational requirements needed for this role.

The following are desirable:

  • Strong MI, reporting and presentational skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous tasks and/or initiatives
  • Ability to manage well under pressure and to operate in a decisive and inclusive manner

More about the team

The Service Design team, within Technology Services in Group IT, comprises of a number of teams looking at the Availability, Capacity and Recoverability of Bank of Ireland's most critical IT Services. We do this through close working relationships with our Partners (internal and external) and a proactive approach to IT Service Management.
