IT Lifecycle Planning Manager

We have an exciting new opportunity within our Lifecycle Portfolio team in AXA UK.

Reporting into the Senior IT Portfolio Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the lifecycle of several hundred technology products, both applications and infrastructure. As part of the Lifecycle Portfolio team, you'll be responsible for ensuring each technology product has a well-defined lifecycle roadmap, aligning the efforts of IT and business technology owners, enterprise architects and project managers.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you'll be doing:

• Engaging with Enterprise Architecture, IT Owners, Product Managers and Project Managers to create and sustain comprehensive, multi-year roadmaps, inclusive of multi-year decommissioning roadmap
• Proactively seeking and recommending opportunities to mitigate risks and accelerate the decommissioning of legacy technologies
• Ensuring IT and business technology owners understand the risks related to technical debt and maintain compliance with business, regulatory, and group policies
• Supporting the creation of an aggregate view of technical debt, evaluate associated risks, and agree on appropriate response strategies and decommissioning plans
• Owning the decommissioning framework, processes, and controls
• Providing guidance to projects through a structured end-to-end technology decommissioning process, acting as a trusted advisor on internal processes, including data protection standards and change management

What you'll bring:

• Strong understanding of technology architectures, application dependencies, and integration points is essential e.g. architecture, IT service management (ITIL, ITSM, ITAM), or IT project management
• Proven ability to establish and maintain a network of stakeholders across various disciplines
• Competence in project management methodologies and frameworks
• Ability to represent at senior stakeholder forums, effectively communicating the status and importance of decommissioning activities
• Knowledge of risk management and risk mitigation in a technology setting
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
