What is the opportunity?

There is an opportunity to help the overall BOI IT Transformation journey working with the best talent in a multi-vendor environment.

The Infrastructure Operations Team role is to "Enable the Service" through driving our partners in providing the Bank with the Technology required to run the business, securing the Customers and Banks data, improving stability and remaining current in order to provide a premier service.

In this Role, you will

  • Ensure strong Governance with the vendor service delivery team and key customer partners,
  • Effectively raise issues where necessary to Infrastructure Operations / Technology Services leadership
  • Maintain & monitor standards, controls, processes and solutions, to minimise business and IT risk,
  • Drive through identified Risks to closure including reporting of progress against each Risk assigned within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure full compliance with all Group, Legal and Regulatory requirements and standards, with full involvement during Internal / External Audit cycle

What will make you stand out?

This is an operational role working with our key service providers so strong knowledge of virtualisation using the VMWare suite, vCentre, Horizon, etc and ideally with strong knowledge of other current VDI technologies and transformational opportunities will make you stand out!

You will understand working in a multi-vendor managed service environment, to give assurances that services are being delivered effectively to safeguard the business and improve the stability and delivery of this core service.

Good interpersonal skills to enable you to build productive working relationships with a customer service focus, with the ability to communicate effectively to facilitate and negotiate with an open mind to change

Essential Qualifications

  • Ideal but not essential VMWare certifications
  • Other Virtualisation platform certifications (e.g. Citrix, AWS, Azure) also highly valued.
  • Strong virtualisation skills using VMWare solutions especially in Horizon.
  • Good knowledge of other VDI technologies
  • Good Knowledge of Windows Server and operating systems
  • Knowledge of AD and how group policies work
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools

More about the team

The team consists of SMEs across all the main platforms we support in the Digital Experience space; Citrix, SFTP, Storage and of course VMWare/ VDI. The team is 'accountable' with our main service providers Kyndryl and TCS as 'Responsible' for managing/ operating and delivering the service.

This is a hybrid onsite role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as ITC, Cabinteely, Dublin 18. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager. #LI-HYBRID #IJ-HYBRID
