Job Purpose:

The Head of Sustainability will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's sustainability strategy. This senior leadership role will drive the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into our business operations, ensuring alignment with our corporate values and long-term objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership, regional teams, and external stakeholders to advance our sustainability agenda and achieve measurable results.

This role reports directly to the Vice President, International Sourcing & Supply Chain.

We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as the Head of Sustainability.

Key Result Areas:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead the sustainability strategy, aligning it with the company's mission, vision, and business objectives.
  • Policy and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental and sustainability regulations and standards across all regions.
  • ESG Integration: Integrate ESG principles into business operations, decision-making processes, and corporate culture.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, investors, regulatory bodies, and community organizations, to promote and communicate the company's sustainability initiatives.
  • Sustainability Reporting: Oversee the preparation and publication of sustainability reports, ensuring transparency and accuracy in reporting ESG performance and progress.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Identify and implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance sustainability performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Training and Development: Work closely with the Learning & Development function to develop, design and deliver appropriate ESG training, coaching and guidance to all levels of the business, across all areas of the Organisation.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing sustainability team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the sustainability budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve strategic goals.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives and track progress towards targets.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate sustainability-related risks, ensuring the company's resilience and long-term viability.
  • Perform as part of the International Leadership Team, supporting and implementing crucial measures and initiatives as required.

Knowledge, Training, Experience and Skills required:

  • Experience: A track record of delivering ESG, or a related field. at a Strategic Level within a global or multinational organisation.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of sustainability principles, ESG frameworks, and relevant regulations. Experience in the Fastener or Manufacturing sector is a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, drive change, and achieve results in a complex, multinational environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop data-driven strategies and solutions.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale sustainability projects and initiatives from concept to implementation.
  • Passion for Sustainability: A genuine passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental and social impact.
