HEAD OF SCHOOL - SECONDMENT ROLE.

SALARY: L11 - L15 £63,815 - £70,293 (DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE).

Contract type: Secondment - Full Time.

The governors of St Patrick's Catholic Primary School are looking to appoint an outstanding practitioner who is a dynamic and ambitious leader as Head of School on secondment, to start in January 2025, or sooner if possible. We are a one form entry Catholic school with 211 children and a 20 place nursery, which was graded as Good by Ofsted in October 2021. The intention is that this position will become permanent at the end of this school year.

You will be responsible on a day-to-day basis for the internal organisation, management and control of the school. You will contribute fully to the strategic development of the school focusing on improving teaching and learning. In carrying out your duties the Head of School will consult and liaise with and work in partnership with the Executive Headteacher. You will be fully supported by the Executive Headteacher and the federated sister school. The post holder will deputise for the Executive Headteacher, and will therefore need to meet the national standards for headship.

• Will be a practising Catholic, with a strong faith, who has deep commitment to and understanding of Catholic education
• Is an outstanding classroom practitioner, providing the best possible role model for all staff and pupils
• Has high expectations and will inspire, challenge and encourage staff to achieve the best outcomes for pupils, enabling every child to reach their highest potential
• Has experience of working with staff to improve teaching and learning
