Senior Administrator to support various teams throughout the school
32 1/2 hours per week, permanent position
G4 Grade 6-11

Administrator to Support Headteacher, Senior Leaders, SENDCO, Home & Hospital Team, Safeguarding team and Heads of years as needed.
Shepwell Short Stay School is a progressive and vibrant learning community that focuses on raising the aspirations and potential of every pupil at the school.
We have places in school for 90 learners, all who have an EHCP and work in a very bespoke manner to support our learners complex needs.
We are seeking an organized, proactive, and dedicated Administrator to join our team and provide vital support to the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team, SENDCO, and Home & Hospital team. This is a crucial role that requires a strong focus on confidentiality, efficient communication, and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, ensuring smooth operations within the school.
- Take accurate minutes during confidential meetings, including school review meetings, parents' meetings, and other key discussions.
- Draft and send letters to parents and external stakeholders as required.
- Assist in the coordination of parents' meetings and other school-related events.
- Provide support to the SENDCO team, including administrative tasks related to SEND provisions.
- Assist with the Home and Hospital team to ensure communication and organization for students in alternative education settings.
- Perform some reception duties, including answering phones, directing inquiries, and managing visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Train to complete annual review paperwork and assist in SEND compliance tasks.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Strong keyboard and IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in an administrative role is preferred, but training will be provided.
Desirable Qualities:
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
