Description
We have a fantastic, high-impact senior leadership opportunity for a medically qualified doctor with substantial experience in improving the healthcare that customers receive. This is a brand-new position in AXA Health's Commercial team. You'll be responsible for cost, quality, and outcome effectiveness of the journeys our customers take in accessing healthcare, and end to end quality and value of healthcare in condition areas. The role is hands-on, leading a specific team to drive, not just advise, the improvement of the quality and value of the healthcare our customers receive.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at our Tunbridge Wells office, visiting clients or attending industry events.
We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
What you'll be doing:
• Lead strategic design and continuous improvement of condition-specific healthcare journeys, ensuring these align with AXA Health goals of managing claims spend inflation and enhancing healthcare outcomes.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to healthcare specialty and journey effectiveness, cost management, and patient outcomes, using data to drive continuous improvement.
• Identify, select, and plan cost management initiatives that effectively contribute to controlling healthcare spend, ensuring they're evidence-based and aligned with industry best practice.
• Utilise deep subject matter expertise to design and implement end-to-end healthcare pathways that ensure seamless patient experiences and optimal clinical outcomes, while effectively managing transitions between care settings.
• Manage process of change in healthcare delivery, working alongside colleagues, ensuring that stakeholders are engaged, and changes are communicated effectively to minimise disruption and enhance adoption.
• Responsibility for horizon scanning teams. Collaborate with medical and research teams to integrate case-specific research into design and delivery of healthcare journeys, ensuring that clinical evidence and best practices inform all initiatives.
• Oversee initiatives in priority condition areas, focusing on designing comprehensive strategies that enhance healthcare outcomes while ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality of care.
• Act as business lead for non-clinician, non-facility healthcare supplier relationships, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment with external partners to support the delivery of healthcare journeys.

• Proficient in data analysis tools and software relevant to healthcare analytics.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards in healthcare data management.
