Why is this role important?
In this role you will own Breathe's content marketing and brand strategy while leading a cross functional team. You will develop and deliver the broader marketing strategy focusing on brand awareness, demand generation and SEO content and PR. You and your team will also work closely with other teams across marketing, sales, and our external agencies.
Responsibilities
Content Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing plan to engage prospects across the purchasing funnel
- Oversee creation of high-impact content across various formats (blogs, whitepapers, videos, etc.) optimized for SEO and audience engagement
- Collaborate on customer marketing content with product marketing and customer success teams
- Encourage innovation and "out of the box" thinking to elevate our content strategy
Brand Marketing Strategy:
- Develop top-of-funnel campaigns and a cohesive social media strategy to build organic growth
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints
- Work with the People team to define and promote our employer brand
Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and mentor a talented team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Set goals and KPIs, track team performance, and drive accountability for results
- Empower the team with regular feedback, growth opportunities, and a strategic vision for success
Collaboration with Growth Team:
- Work with the Growth team to align content and brand efforts with acquisition, conversion, and retention goals
- Partner on integrated campaigns, A/B testing, and optimisation to boost engagement and conversion rates
- Share insights and learnings across teams to ensure alignment with market trends and customer needs
Yearly Planning and Analytics:
- Lead annual content and brand planning, setting clear objectives and tactics aligned with business goals
- Define and track key KPIs, including organic sessions, content engagement, and brand awareness metrics
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify trends and inform strategy
Metrics:
- Quantitative - organic sessions, new organic traffic, MQLs, content engagement (both on paid and non-paid channels), and conversions from MQL to trial
- Qualitative - established, efficient processes and a test-and-learn approach to content and brand marketing

- Articulate written, visual and verbal communicator, excellent copy accuracy and proofreading skills
- Proven experience in content marketing, brand strategy and leadership roles within the SaaS or technology industry
- Knowledge of modern content and brand marketing best practices

- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for detail and creativity
