As the Head of Architecture, you will shape and lead the architectural vision for your technology domain, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that align with business goals. Reporting to the Director of Architecture, you will lead a team of architects, champion architectural governance, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes
What you will be doing
Architecture Strategy & Vision:
- Define and execute an architectural strategy aligned with business goals and technological innovation.
- Lead architectural governance processes and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards and principles.
- Translate complex business objectives into clear, actionable technical strategies.
- Continued support of the team to deliver business roadmaps aligned to your Domains.
Technical & Architectural Expertise:
- Guide teams in designing scalable and secure systems aligned with architectural best practices.
- Create and maintain architectural blueprints and standards across your domain.
- Lead architectural decision-making for high-performance, complex platforms.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Build and mentor a high-performing architecture team, fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking culture.
- Provide strategic coaching and development opportunities to architects and engineers.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for architecture initiatives.

Who we are looking for

- Significant leadership experience in enterprise architecture, preferably in regulated, high-scale industries (e.g., fintech, gaming, gambling).
- Proven success in cloud-native solution design and platform modernization.
- Experience in agile environments with matrixed cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated history of delivering secure and scalable architecture.
Technical Knowledge
- Architecture & Design: Strong understanding of architectural styles, design patterns, and OOP principles.
- Cloud: Deep knowledge of multi-cloud (especially AWS) environments, observability practices, and migration strategies.
- Integration: Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, messaging systems (e.g., pub/sub, queues).
- Scale & Performance: Expertise in building systems that meet demanding non-functional requirements (NFRs).
- Strategy & Governance: Ability to define standards, roadmaps, and track emerging technologies for strategic alignment.
Leadership Skills
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop a forward-looking architecture vision aligned with business goals.
- Architectural Leadership: Skilled in leading architecture across software, cloud, infrastructure, and data domains.
- People Development: Proven experience mentoring and growing technical teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communicator who can influence across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Change Management: Experienced in driving transformation and embedding new ways of working.
