GB Sponsorship and Experience Executive

The Sponsorships and Brand Experience team is responsible for the planning and industry leading delivery of an enviable portfolio which include (but not limited to); Guinness as Title Partner of the Men's and Women's Six Nations, Guinness Home Nation Rugby Union Sponsorships with England, Wales & Scotland, Guinness as Beer Partner of the Premier League and the Cheltenham Festival, Pimms at Wimbledon and Sponsorships across our brands at various musical festivals and the Co-op Live arena.

Role Dimensions:

An exciting opportunity has opened for a dedicated Sponsorship & Brand Experience Executive to join the growing GB team! The role is responsible for working with the wider Sponsorship and Brand Experience team to support in the delivery and measurement of a range of exciting experiential and sponsorship plans.

The role will initially focus on Guinness - supporting the team in delivering the activation of both the title partnership of the Men's and Women's Guinness 6 Nations and Official Beer Partnership of the Premier League. As part of the role, you play an exciting and varied part in assisting the team of The Guinness brand home in Covent Garden. Supporting Diageo's ongoing dedication to community events, local business collaboration and bringing to life Guinness' brand DNA of power, goodness and communion - this is an outstanding and exciting opportunity.

You will need to excel in project management, be a strong communicator used to collaborating with collaborators of all levels (both internal and external agency partners) and have high attention to detail. The successful candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, always ready to roll-up their sleeves and get things done, and be positive and resilient in finding solutions.

Top Accountabilities:

  • Support the delivery of GB sponsorship and experiences projects including delivery of key brand metrics and improving the value of our activations.
  • Own and run ticketing strategy: collaborating with agencies and internal partners to ensure clear allocation, management and documentation of tickets across Rugby, Football and music / entertainment including the new Co-Op Live venue
  • Work with Local/Global Brand Team and external partners to ensure timely approvals and maximisation of partnership rights.
  • Budget management: Management of annual sponsorship and experience budgets and ensuring investment is reported accurately into the GB P&L
  • Work with key internal Diageo collaborators within brand, marketing, commercial, legal and corporate relations teams to deliver industry leading activation plans that align with the Diageo marketing code
  • Old Brewers' Yard: support the program manager, brand experience lead and project team to deliver multiple and multifaceted brand, community, local business and landlord events and experiences.
  • Support wider team with incoming partnerships enquiries to ensure approaches are assessed through the 'Diageo Way of Partnerships' framework
  • Manage measurement & reporting of existing and future partnerships e.g. governance and reporting - Providing insights to the team to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness of our Partnerships and brand experiences e.g. increased value
  • Representation of Diageo at key flagship sponsorship events - ensuring the business is professionally represented

Ideal experiences / Qualifications / capabilities:

  • 4+ years previous experience and knowledge in managing and/or working with rightsholders.
  • 4+ years previous experience of running and managing events from end to end
  • Good communicator and influencer who is adept at managing a complex collaborator matrix (internal/external of varying seniority)
  • Strong project management, interpersonal and administration skills to include high attention to detail, deadline management and a proven track record of execution
  • Proven ability to maximise the return on investment across Partnership assets and events - constantly seeks creative solutions
  • A strong, hardworking teammate who enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment
  • Constantly curious about the external world to include a deep understanding of consumer behaviours, cultural trends and industry leading Partnerships activations
  • Deep personal accountability for great performance
  • Detailed understanding and maintenance of business compliance and governance
  • Strong budget management skills and knowledge of PO management in Coupa

Desirable:

  • Creative and strategic problem solver
  • Experience in event experience delivery in sport, music, entertainment, fan engagement or another related field
  • Experience of working across sports and/or music partnerships
  • Experience of working either within an alcohol brand or an events/ sponsorships agency team working on an alcohol brand
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the wider marketing mix including digital and social platforms
  • Industry Connections: Broad knowledge of the intricacies and network of the sponsorship industry to generate industry insights and be able to assess the impact these have for Diageo

Other requirements:

  • Present for up to three days a week at Diageo 1HQ or Diageo Agencies or at events
  • Ability to travel to events across GB when required
