We now need an experienced and dependable Manager to assist in converting the existing pipeline, expand it with our current offerings and to develop Data Analytics propositions.

Our managers are responsible for managing the delivery of a range of financial crime projects with a particular focus on Data Analytics. Each project will generally incorporate a review and assessment of the current state of compliance, discussing matters directly with the client, proposing and delivering solutions, and providing oral presentations. They will be expected to collaborate across FS Consulting to deliver the best solutions for our clients.

The role will also involve the opportunity to take a leading role in our growing team of Data Analytics specialists, supporting the delivery of a range of financial crime projects and delivering comprehensive and well-considered solutions to clients' challenges. A core part of the role will also include leveraging your industry contacts, skills, and experience to contribute to winning work and knowledge sharing and practice development across the team.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing financial crime engagements or projects from scoping, analysis, and execution of the project, through to reporting (including delivery workstreams focusing on data modelling).
  • Managing the risk and commercial aspects involved in the delivery of projects including budgets, planning, and project governance.
  • Taking accountability for the successful delivery of engagement outputs and Client outcomes.
  • Providing structure and direction to the delivery of engagement activities.
  • Supporting relationships between Vendors and Clients to translate system 'jargon' into business terminology.
  • Building positive and collaborative relationships with senior Client stakeholders.
  • Facilitating collaborative and fulfilling working environments for the Client and KPMG staff on engagements.
  • Managing and mentoring more junior colleagues from diverse backgrounds during projects and as part of the KPMG appraisal process.

Business Development

  • Building and leveraging both internal and external relationships to support senior stakeholders to contribute to business development opportunities.
  • Contributing to the development of responses for proposals (RFPs) to Client opportunities.
  • Developing innovative and Client-focused go-to-market propositions.

Practice Development

  • Supporting senior management with internal operational responsibilities for the team.
  • Leading practice development initiatives and providing guidance to junior members of the team on these initiatives.
  • Leading and/or contributing to formal training, knowledge sharing, and networking activities for the team.
  • Acting as an informal career development mentor and coach for junior members of the team.
  • Contributing to the firm's talent agenda, managing, and working effectively in diverse teams and helping to foster an inclusive culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
  • Supporting the ambition of the team to be the leading forensic analytics experts in the UK and beyond, through growing the team to enable the development of a broad range of quality client relationships across all industries and through the adoption of both cutting-edge and well-established technologies.

What will you need to do it?

  • Experience of the risk management processes, systems, and controls relating to financial crime.
  • Knowledge of key components of a risk management framework, including policies, risk appetite, risk assessments, controls (monitoring, screening, etc).
  • Technical knowledge of financial crime regulatory expectations and market practice, with depth across one or more of:
    • Anti-money laundering
    • Sanctions
    • Anti-bribery & Corruption
    • Fraud
    • Facilitation of Tax Evasion
  • Experience in at least two coding languages (e.g. SQL, Python, C#).
  • Understanding of data integration and reporting tools (SSIS, SSRS, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience/exposure in working within Agile teams.
  • Broad experience, with examples of delivering client work focusing on advanced analytics services.
  • Ability to manage small teams and develop others.
  • Self-starting, proactive team player that is experienced in delivering technology-enabled solutions.
  • Ability to create and deliver engaging reports/presentations and output reviews to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong management and people skills - flexibility to operate in small or large teams for short or long projects.
  • Confident individuals who can quickly establish credibility with clients and are able to manage both small and large teams.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse and multi-cultural teams drawn from various parts of the organisation and backgrounds.
  • Proactive individual who can work with different stakeholders and adapt well to changing deadlines.
  • An enthusiasm to get involved in marketing activity and in developing the Forensic practice.
  • Highly motivated to pursue a rewarding and enjoyable career with KPMG Forensic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that you can adapt to technical and non-technical audiences.

Skills we'd love to see/Amazing Extras:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills; able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  • Highly effective stakeholder management and relationship-building skills; credible and confident with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of PCOAB and US GAAS.
  • Audit experience within a 'Big 4' consultancy, or mid-tier firm.

This position will largely be based from London / Regions.
