We are looking for a Food Specials Administrator to join our team in Head Office. The Food Specials department is instrumental in driving turnover for the business and as part of the team you will actively contribute to driving forward the department and directly impact every single store.
You'll be working cross functionally with several other Lidl departments including, but not limited to, Buying, Supply Chain, Marketing (Advertising and PR Communications) and Merchandising, as well as our international counterparts.
This role is specifically to support the Food Specials team with planning, managing and executing Limited Offer promotions.

What you'll do
- Administering the day to day of our weekly promotional offers, contacting suppliers to confirm promotions by phone and email
- Inputting data in our systems, chasing missing information and maintaining data bases
- Co-ordinating with suppliers, advertising and artwork to ensure items are advertised correctly
- Solving problems and improving efficiencies
- Managing several different deadlines simultaneously
- Providing ad-hoc administrator support
- Conducting independent research and help future innovation
- Sample management. Requesting from suppliers, taking pictures, recording product information, and handing them over the relevant departments. Role includes manual handling of parcels
What you'll need
- Well-organised with the ability to multitask and work to targets and strict deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Pro-active and self-starter, approaching problems logically and calmly
- Positive can-do attitude with eagerness to learn
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication with the confidence and composure to deal with direct exposure to internal departments, senior management, and external partners
- The ability to adapt to a fast-paced and challenging environment
- An engaged team player
- German language is highly desirable, but not essential
- A full UK driving licence
