The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Digital Finance Team for a Finance Assistant to take responsibility for processing payments, expenses, invoicing, bank transactions and some reconciliation work.
The ideal candidate will be a great communicator who enjoys working with a growing company, has outstanding attention to detail and enjoys working within a team on a varied number of tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and expenses using our ERP system in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensuring VAT is processed with returns and payments made on time.
- Preparing weekly payment run.
- Assisting the wider teams with query resolution.
- Processing invoices and expenses in foreign currencies.
- Managing supplier statements, income, and bank reconciliations.
- Dealing with debt collection.
- Problem solving with customers, suppliers and within the group.
- Support with month end closure and journal posting.
- Ad hoc duties to support the finance team when required.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
- Experience of working in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
- Knowledge of handling international currency payments/bank accounts.
- Excel skills covering basic formulas and pivot tables.
- Experience of MS Dynamics or a similar CRM is desirable.
- Experience of working within a collaborative and diverse team environment.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly growing business and to embrace change.
- Ability to prioritise tasks with flexibility and manage time efficiently.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Excellent ability to communicate at all levels.
- Accountancy degree, or part qualified accountant preferred.
