Job Purpose

Internal job title: Enterprise Manager - East Midlands

Working Hours: 37 Hours Monday - Friday. Occasional out of hours working for whhich TOIL is given.

Salary: £39,588 + car cash allowance (£425 per month) + benefits

Location: Remote (home), with regular travel for collaborative meetings at an East Midlands Hub.

The Canal & River Trust is a charity entrusted with the care of over 2000 miles of canals, rivers, docks and reservoirs in England and Wales. These historic, natural and cultural assets form part of the nation's strategic and local blue-green infrastructure network, linking urban and rural communities as well as habitats. Our waterways contribute to the health and well-being of local communities and economies, creating attractive and connected places to live, work, volunteer and spend leisure time. They also play an important role in mitigating the impact of climate change and provide valuable habitats and much-needed biodiverse corridors for wildlife.

We are currently recruiting for an Enterprise Manager to generate resources to support the Trust's objective of being a waterway and wellbeing charity. To identify sources of funding and support for the development and delivery of the Region's priority projects and initiatives. Work creatively with colleagues to shape the Region's activities into fundable projects and deliver sustainable funding sources to meet these objectives. Generate resources for a range of activities, such as improving waterway infrastructure, visitor destinations, learning, participation and engagement opportunities that deliver health and wellbeing outcomes for visitors and customers.

Location & coverage

This Enterprise Manager role will be offered on a remote working basis, with a requirement to attend our main hub spaces e.g. Newark as and when required for team working a collaborative meetings.
