Come and join us at the wonderful Newbury Wharf! Being an Explorers Volunteer is a rewarding experience. The role is full of variety, flexibility and a lot of fun! We work as a team to inspire children and young people about our canals and rivers.
Visits run from Newbury Wharf, where we partner with the Kennet & Avon Canal Trust to offer boat trips as well as our fantastic Explorers activities. We also think its super important to help children learn to be safe near water and each year we put together a programme of visits to schools and groups.
We give you full training and provide resources for leading groups of children. You will have the support of a Learning & Skills Co-ordinator and a Lead Volunteer, as well as the other volunteers in your team. We reimburse you for all travel costs.
