Come and join us, Colne Valley Park and our volunteer groups at the start of the Slough Arm on the towpath opposite Packet Boat Marina entrance on Thursday 18th December between 10:30 and 14:30, for a satisfying days volunteering along the Slough Arm. The main activities will be vegetation clearance around the edge of the canal and aqueduct & litter picking. All tools, equipment and a hot drink will be provided, together with expert and friendly support. All under 16's need to be accompanied by an adult
This is a great way to meet other local volunteers and spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
No experience is required, you just need to be willing to get stuck in and get dirty. Please wear old clothes appropriate for the weather conditions (e.g. waterproof jacket, warm layers) and sturdy footwear ideally boots or wellies.
