Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Demonstrate a standard of education to degree level or equivalent in work experience relevant to this post
- PRINCE2 or equivalent project management experience in secure healthcare setting
Desirable criteria
- Security and/or management qualifications at diploma or degree level
- PRINCE2 foundation and practitioner
- Completed Audit Training to ISO 9001 standard
Experience
Essential criteria
- Minimum of 3 years of operational management in a security based service with the responsibility for managing resources and people
- Evidence or problem solving and decision making at a level similar to that required for this role
- Experience of working and implementing changes in accordance with new regulations, protocols, policies and procedures
- Evidence of being a team player and managing the complex needs of teams
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within a secure mental healthcare setting
- Experience of working with patients having mental healthcare or learning disability needs
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Understanding the culture and values of the NHS and the importance of embracing and promoting equality, diversity and inclusion as an integral part of organisational culture
- Good knowledge and understanding of law and relevant legislation, e.g data protection principles, Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act, Mental Health Act, Police and Criminal Evidence Act
- Maintain awareness of professional and organisational developments
- Understanding of health and safety in the workplace
Desirable criteria
- Working knowledge of physical, procedural and relational security
- Knowledge of category B prison service standards
- Knowledge of facilitating works in a secure environment.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and contracts management
- Knowledge of technical security systems, such as: Cortech, perimeter intrusion detection systems, CCTV, access control, X-ray equipment, fire alarm systems, personal attack alarm systems, intruder alarm systems and digital radio systems
