Data, Technology and Change Graduate Programme 2025

Transforming the Bank is a key strategic driver for Bank of Ireland. Underpinning this concept are our technology platforms, data, and the digital platforms customers use to interact with and purchase our products.

Irish consumers are becomingly increasingly digital-led in their interactions with financial services providers, and as Ireland's biggest bank we are expanding and transforming our digital and technological base. We are looking for individuals to further support our progress and momentum as we build a world class diverse technology team, delivering improvements in the banking experience for millions of customers.

Our Data Technology and Change programme will offer hands-on experience across Data Science, Data Visualisation, Data Engineering, Project Management, and Business Analysis.

We offer Graduate Programme streams that develop the key skills that will enable Bank of Ireland to grow sustainably into the future.

The Programme

Each programme stream offers a rotational experience across different areas in the Bank. Each rotation is specifically developed to accelerate your development and growth.

During your three rotations, you will build strong management, interpersonal and technical skills, as well as getting exposure to business critical projects in a fast paced environment.

You are empowered throughout to seek new experiences and expand your network through cross collaboration. We encourage you to experience different areas of the business, or to contribute to substantial transformation projects that support our Group strategy.

The Opportunity

As part of the programme you will gain exposure to colleagues across numerous business areas, allowing you to build a substantial network in different disciplines.

Through our unique Digital Academy, you will also be able to explore opportunities and future career paths, as well as receiving top-class mentoring through our Mentorship Programme.

Members of the Graduate Programme have strong visibility in with regular touchpoints with Leadership, including the CEO and Executive Committee.

Our Graduate Programme is often a feeder into one of Bank of Ireland's talent programmes which are crafted to accelerate the growth of identified impactful individuals.

What you will get in return

You will embark on a tailored Graduate Development Programme, a blend of virtual and classroom training, facilitating connections with peers, the organisation, and its culture. Over the programme's duration, you'll develop crucial skills ranging from relationship management, business promotion techniques, presentation skills and financial well-being.

What we are looking for

We don't look for any specific technical fields of study in order for you to be successful. We are interested in speaking with a diverse variety of people from various academic, societal and geographical backgrounds that will inspire and help us grow as a bank.

We offer opportunities to students who have achieved, or expect to achieve, an Undergraduate or Master's Degree from all fields.
