Within ITV Studios is our Global Partnerships function, responsible for distributing over 90,000 active catalogue hours of film and television content to buyers such as broadcasters, streaming platforms, airlines and many more. To meet the ever evolving needs of the business, and to ensure we remain a market leader in the distribution space, ITV Studios and Global Partnerships are working on a major programme of change, building out new systems and capabilities for Rights, Content Sales & Licensing
A key part of this programme is to consolidate and deliver a single unified Salesforce solution for ITV Global Partnerships fulfilling the foundational requirement to simplify and standardise the end-to-end GP sales processes and tools. Currently there are two different instances of Sales Cloud.
The role
The Data Migration & Cleanse Analyst will be responsible for identifying, overseeing and performing data cleanse activities for the migration of data from two legacy Salesforce instances to the new GP Salesforce system. As part of the role you will be responsible for defining the objects, fields, and records to be migrated, setting target state for future GP Salesforce data models and sales processes, and ensuring the critical data required for Go-Live Day 1 is identified and agreed upon in collaboration with business teams (e.g Sales, Finance, Marketing). The role also involves managing data export, assessing business needs for data migration, and ensuring that only necessary data not available from other systems is migrated. Additionally, the candidate will assure alignment with the Rightsline data dictionary, assess data ownership for GP Salesforce, and consider the transition states between GP and Rightsline Go-Live targets.
The role would be ideally suited to someone equally comfortable working across both business and technical domains. A core responsibility of the position will be to analyse, understand and organise large sets of media industry data. Additionally, experience or involvement in previous data migration programmes would be beneficial to the individual taking on this role. The role will entail but not be limited to:
- Support the Programme Team and Business Sponsor with decisions on the target state for GP Salesforce data models and sales processes.
- Work closely with the GP Salesforce implementation team and the Business Sponsor to understand the scope and ambition of the GP Salesforce implementation transformation programme at ITV and, specifically, the importance of the data cleanse and migration workstream within it.
- Define and agree critical data required for GP Salesforce by Go-Live Day 1.
- Engage with business teams to define key objects/records, prioritise them (critical to low use), and log known issues in data.
- Clearly define objects, fields, records to be migrated to the new GP Salesforce.
- Clearly define the extent of data cleansing required facilitate the data migration
- Track, perform and coordinate cleansing activities, ensuring cleansing of migration critical activities are prioritised and completed on time.
- Be the central person for facilitating conversations across all business areas (Sales, Rights In, Finance and Catalogue), and raising risks/issues to the Salesforce Programme team where appropriate.
- Engage with business teams such as Sales, Finance, and Marketing to identify that needs are met.
- Export data from legacy Sales Cloud instances into CSV files while ensuring data integrity and completeness.
- Identify and exclude redundant legacy data from migration.
- Assess where required data will be mastered. If data will be mastered in GP Salesforce through integration, data cleanse may not be needed
- Validate data migrated into the new GP Salesforce, support error handling and resolution (including source data cleansing, recreate files for data reloads) and provide sign-off report for Business Sponsor approval
- Ensure alignment overall across the wider Sales & Licensing programme and with the Rightsline Data Migration Strategy in supporting the business and Salesforce to Rightsline workflows and identifying interdependencies. Consider data migration scope in relation to transition states for GP Salesforce and Rightsline Go-Live.
- Provide regular updates to Programme Teams and Business stakeholders on progress of the data cleanse and migration activities, including identifying and tracking any risks and dependencies to senior stakeholders
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)
- Demonstrable experience driving and coordinating data migration and data cleansing activity in at least 1 project
- Demonstrable experience of working in Sales and Licensing or other Salesforce migration projects within the Media and Entertainment sector
- Self-starter, able to prioritise and manage tasks and deadlines across multiple projects concurrently.
- Hands on experience and expertise working with Salesforce solutions
- Experience of working on data analysis and migration programmes
The following may also be beneficial
- Experience with or knowledge of Rightsline
