We're looking for a Data Center Manager to:
• own, manage and provide operational oversight of all aspects of your data center environment
• manage operational teams, incidents, changes, and stakeholder expectations
• supervise vendors providing key services to ensure high standards of service quality, compliance with defined SLAs and operational stability
• enforce compliance of all applicable guidelines and policies for work carried out in or around data center infrastructure
• act as a decisive and authoritative point of escalation for your team and internal stakeholders
• join or own global initiatives and projects within the Data Center Services function, helping to continually improving the quality of our service delivery
Your team
You'll be working in the Data Center Operations team in Slough, United Kingdon. The team provide operational services including access control, media handling, hardware installation and decommission, change management and incident response within UBS data centers. This benefits our firm by ensuring the integrity of our most critical technology assets and data. As a data center manager, you'll lead a team playing an important role in underpinning our operational stability.
Your expertise
• ideally at least 5 years of management experience overseeing complex data center environments, preferably within the financial services industry
• proficient with industry tools, such as MS Office 365, ServiceNow, and the ITIL service management framework
• a good knowledge of data center environments, including power, cooling, IT data cabling, security, capacity management, media handling, incident response, documentation and record keeping
• management-level understanding of service provision, and the ability to apply global working practices and processes across the various working environments
• confident written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to break down and explain specialist concepts to non-technical audiences
