What is the opportunity?
This role is ideal for an individual with an active curiosity about cyber threat intelligence and seeking to move from another cyber field. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to work in a fast paced environment that furthers learning, has access to industry leading intelligence and that actively participates in multiple cyber threat intelligence communities. They will also have the opportunity to support the team in encouraging closer relationships with the Group's Security Operations centre and deriving and disseminating intelligence to our cyber threat intelligence community members.
In this Role, you will:
- Active participate in cyber threat communities BOI Group is a member of, including timely threat intelligence sharing with members and participation in relevant working groups and temporary secondments
- Triage and analysis of threat information provided by cyber threat intelligence partners / communities to identify cyber threats relevant to the Group and to communicate these to appropriate partners in an actionable and timely manner, including supporting the Security Incident Response team during incidents
- Establish and cultivate relationships within Group Information Security & Resilience (GISR), the wider Group and the cyber threat communities the Group is a member of
- In conjunction with the wider cyber intelligence team, maintain the Group's strategic and operational threat intelligence products including the Group's Cyber Threat Profile and a profile of relevant threat actors and their associated tactics, techniques and procedures in a Group context to enable proactive defence
What will make you stand out?
Good experience in a technical cyber role, with the ability to navigate an enterprise environment and knowledge of the fundamentals of cyber threat intelligence.
Ability to develop a mental model of, navigate and communicate within an enterprise organisation with a reasonable degree of autonomy.
Essential Qualifications
- Honours Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science
- Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
- Equivalents of the above are also accepted
- The successful candidate will need to acquire the CREST Practitioner Threat Intelligence Analyst certification within 12 months.
More about the team
The Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) team is a small but important team in GISR. This role will be an integral part of that team operating at pace, supported by multiple industry recognised threat partners, to continuously supervise the threat landscape and undertake timely analysis and actionable reporting of tactical, operational and strategic cyber / cyber relevant geopolitical threats relevant to the Group. These intelligence products are needed to enable effective decision making to prioritise and undertake corrective actions to proactively protect Group information and systems.
This is a hybrid onsite role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland or UK with the primary office location as Baggot Plaza, Dublin 4. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager. #LI-HYBRID #IJ-HYBRID
