Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping financial excellence at AXA? We're offering an exciting 12-month FTC opportunity to support our management accounting team. In this dynamic position, you'll manage all aspects of month-end accounting processes, from journal entries and reconciliations to delivering precise financial reports. You'll also contribute to budgeting and forecasting in Anaplan, while building strong collaborations with offshore teams, expense partners, and auditors. Key responsibilities:
• Manage all month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments.
• Ensure the month-end flash report is accurate, up-to-date, and includes clear commentary before daily meetings for senior executives.
• Produce capital expenditure/depreciation reports, ensuring capitalisation policies are adhered to.
• Complete separate department monthly cost analysis schedules, explaining movements relative to budget/forecast.
• Ensure the monthly cost allocation process is run correctly and accurately.
• Reconcile subsidiary company movements and inter-company transactions.
• Support budgeting and forecasting for business units in Anaplan.
• Build and maintain relationships with offshore teams, expense partners, cost centre managers, and auditors. Support external audits and address audit recommendations.
Work arrangements:
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.
Your skills & experience:
• ACA/CIMA/ACCA Part-qualified, qualified by experience, or equivalent.
• IFRS knowledge with strong technical accounting skills.
• Experience in management accounts production, capitalisation processes, reporting, and expense allocations.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Anaplan.
• Professional services finance experience or familiarity with non-IT cost centre accounting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen; a proactive and resilient mindset, and able to deliver under pressure.
• High integrity with confidential data handling and a strong governance mindset.
• Ability to work effectively with offshore teams, expense partners, cost centre managers, and auditors.
This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
