Compliance Manager

What is the opportunity?

This is an exciting role which affords significant opportunity for the successful candidate to make a difference. This role offers an opportunity to play a key role in New Ireland's Compliance function and as part of New Ireland's Risk Management Framework implementation programme.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide second line of defence (2LOD) Compliance Support in delivering New Ireland's RMF refresh end-state design and localisation of the group RMF estate, Including (2LOD) oversight and challenge of delivery
  • Ensure comprehensive management of governance aspects relating to RMF changes (to senior risk committees).
  • Assess and challenge the suitability and appropriateness of 1LOD RMF implementation activity as well as providing support and guidance.
  • Ensure 2LOD representation at the RMF implementation working group.

What will make you stand out?

Excellent experience in a risk role ideally within the Wealth & Insurance sector. A solid understanding of Risk Management Frameworks including use of associated risk tools and methodologies. An ability to work across material risk types and to provide effective challenge, developing business solutions and decision-making. An ethos of developing strong relationships and building credibility with senior management.

Experience with any of the following will help you to stand out but is not necessary in order to apply for this role;

  • Knowledge of financial services sector, with a focus on the wealth or life assurance sectors
  • Understanding compliance risk management and key controls.
  • Adapting to changing requirements and re-prioritise
  • Pragmatically influencing a proportionate risk management approach.

Essential Qualifications

  • Professional qualification (Legal, ACOI, QFA, RPAor other relevant discipline).

New Ireland's Compliance function ensures appropriate Compliance Risk focused frameworks, policies and processes are embedded across the business in line with Company and Group requirements to ensure regulatory and conduct risks, are identified, measured, mitigated, reported and managed effectively. The team operates as a second line of defence within the three lines of defence model, and as well as setting standards, tools and methodologies for management of regulatory and conduct risks, provides quality oversight against material risk sub-risk categories.

This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in person collaboration exact frequency to be agreed with manager. #li-hybrid #ij-hybrid
