What is the opportunity?
We are looking for a Cloud Platform engineering manager to support the head of the Cloud Centre of Excellence. You will lead the platform engineering team guiding in development solutions in AWS and Azure and will partnership with the platform customers in order to guide on its use and help to collect new requirements.
You will work with the best talent in a multi-vendor environment and be part of a growing team which is building solutions from scratch using native technologies!
In this Role, you will
- Lead a team of high performing Platform Engineers, guiding the development of solutions in AWS and Azure .
- Work with our partner ensuring direction is clear for areas of focus for development.
- Support the team to deliver new capabilities and features driving Cloud Adoption.
- Continuously improve the Public Cloud Platform by identifying areas for Operational optimisation, specially related to automation and availability of the services supporting workloads in the platform.
- Develop / mentor team members guiding them on their career development.
What will make you stand out?
Previous experience in cloud technologies and IAC methodologies using AWS or Azure (preferably AWS) with exposure to cloud adoption and migration. Experience in developing features and capabilities in a public cloud platform and have exposure to highly regulated companies especially in the financial sector. Servant leader experience -enabling the team to deliver.
The successful candidate will have Agile Development using agile tooling for CI/CD: Cloud9, CodeCommit, CodeRepo and Jira. Jenkins, Artifactory is a plus.
You will pay attention to detail with the ability to review and assess complex data in order to qualify and identify and communicate key messages.
A self-starter, highly experienced in workload prioritisation focusing on the goals of the team and the Bank.

- Certification in AWS DevOps or Architecture
- Scrum / Safe Certification is a plus

This is a hybrid onsite role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as ITC, Cabinteely, Dublin 18. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
