Capability Analyst - 12 month Fixed Term Contract

Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable insights? We're looking for a talented Capability Analyst to join our dynamic team for a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this pivotal role, you'll bridge the gap between our business and insights teams, leveraging your expertise in claims data analysis to deliver timely, detailed insights that empower stakeholders to make confident, informed decisions in a rapidly evolving landscape.

As a Capability Analyst, you'll craft and maintain engaging reports and dashboards that support strategic decision making that enhance capabilities within our Commercial COO and claims functions. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for the Chief Operating Office and Claims capability team, providing vital data and insights to underpin development activities and drive continuous improvement.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the construction, delivery, and ongoing maintenance of reporting products to provide capability updates to the business.
• Develop the model to update business/ segment competence monthly by extrapolating trends/ patterns from emerging data using analytical skills and judgement.
• Lead the regular analysis of competency-related data & insights to draw out opportunities for value-add competency initiatives.
• Support the longer-term strategic objectives of the COO Capability Team through delivery of automated Power BI reports and self -serve dashboards detailing capability performance.
• Design, evolve & maintain competency framework trackers for all Claims areas.
• Support the advancement of team resource & capacity planning.
• Support the team in their capture of baseline ROI measures & measure of post-implementation benefit realisation.
• Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business, including Commercial Data, Insights & Analytics, People Analytics, and Future Skills, along with external partners such as Clever Nelly.

What you'll bring:

• Proven analytical knowledge and skills to support claims analysis, gained through working in a planning, reporting or analytics environment.
• You'll have data visualisation skills, with the ability to spot trends and underlying root causes.
• Experience of implementing and managing effective processes to provide regular quality MI updates to the business.
• Expert knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Access, as well as in date warehousing technology specifically Power BI, Azure and Data Lake.
• Experience of developing reporting products that continue to serve customers' requirements beyond initial launch.
• Ability to perform under pressure and commitment to meet deadlines.
• You'll have a creative and innovative approach with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Insurance Industry experience would be advantageous.

This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
