We have a great opportunity for someone to join us as a Digital Marketing and Data Assistant, supporting the wider marketing department (UK and internationally) on a 12 month fixed term contract.
This will be a busy role in the execution of email marketing campaigns, while supporting the Digital Marketing and Data Manager in the gathering of campaign data for insight and analysis to be used to provide guidance to the wider team on effective email marketing campaign techniques.
This role is a based out of our Bristol office with occasional travel to our London and Reading offices and the ability to work from home for part of the week too.
Key responsibilities
Following the training and support that will be provided, the key responsibilities of the role are:
Email marketing campaigns
- Support and provide guidance to the wider marketing department in the generation of targeted marketing lists using best practice processes
- Champion the use of marketing preference and profile data to enhance the quality of email marketing targeting
- Support and provide guidance to the wider marketing department in the development of digital marketing campaigns (legal updates and events) using best practice guidance on format and content presentation
- Distribute emails to well targeted lists at appropriate and agreed schedules
- Upload digital content to OC websites, championing the use best practice guidance
Gathering campaign data
- Extract data from a variety of sources (email, web, social)
- Collate data into a clear and concise format to provide insight into campaign effectiveness to marketing/BD and other stakeholders
- Support the Digital Marketing and Data Manager in interpreting this data and presenting wider-reaching patterns and trends for the wider business, including updating and sharing of internal resources (e.g. intranet pages)
Provide ad-hob support to the marketing team
- Additional 'emergency' support to internal and external email campaigns
- Uploading content to OC website and intranet
- Occasional general administrative support
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone with professional digital marketing experience (particularly email marketing) who is looking for a challenging role within a professional services environment, with a focus on digital marketing, particularly email campaigns. Other key skills include:
- Demonstrable experience developing and executing email marketing campaigns
- An analytical eye enabling you to critically review information and campaign content, and improve it based on best practice experience and guidance
- Excellent attention to detail enabling you to efficiently produce high quality, accurate and consistent output
- Able to give clear instructions and understand and act upon appropriate instructions from senior team members and management, clarifying incomplete/unclear instructions before acting, whilst also being a confident challenger to stakeholders in the provision of guidance and advice
- Confidence to work with numbers and data and a basic understanding of statistical analysis
- Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills
- The ability to be self-motivated, proactive and assertive
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to build good relationships at all levels
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and a willingness to learn how to master other programmes/software
- Good written and verbal communications skills, including a succinct and effective writing style
