Agile Coach

Description

We're looking for a dedicated Scrum Master to join our team, playing a vital role in fostering agile principles and values within our squad. You'll ensure that the team adheres to established practices and processes while delivering impactful technology initiatives. Your expertise will help promote a flexible and collaborative approach to agile delivery, supporting our strategic goals and driving operational excellence across the organisation.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you'll be doing:

• Coach the Scrum Team, remove impediments, and escalate issues when necessary to ensure smooth progress.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Business leaders to develop delivery plans, manage progress, and facilitate release planning.
• Organise and facilitate Agile ceremonies, identifying opportunities to optimise velocity, quality, and risk mitigation.
• Support the integration of Agile practices within traditional or hybrid project management frameworks.
• Ensure sprint goals and product roadmaps align with broader project milestones, promoting seamless collaboration across workstreams.
• Facilitate retrospectives at team and project levels, identifying areas for improvement to enhance delivery and efficiency.
• Monitor project KPIs, manages resources effectively, and develops risk mitigation plans to address unexpected challenges.
• Act as the primary point for resolving critical impediments, fostering team accountability, and maintaining focus on priorities.
Due to the number of applications we expect to receive for this role, we reserve the right to close this advert earlier than the listed closing date to ensure we're able to effectively manage interest. Therefore, if you're interested in joining us at AXA, please don't hesitate to apply.

We know that some candidates may be discouraged from applying if they don't meet every requirement. If you're excited by this job and the prospect of working at AXA but you're not sure you tick every box, we'd still encourage you to apply.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, successfully leading Agile teams and supporting complex technology projects.
• Certification such as PSM, CSM, or equivalent, demonstrating strong knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum practices.
• Skilled in facilitating Agile ceremonies, coaching teams in self-organisation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ability to remove impediments, escalate issues when necessary, and work closely with leadership to resolve blockers swiftly.
• Experience collaborating with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Business stakeholders to align priorities and ensure successful delivery.
• Competent in monitoring project KPIs, managing team performance, and integrating Agile practices within hybrid or traditional project frameworks.
A precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
