A rewarding role for a highly technical lead that is passionate about turning manual tests, tasks, and processes into automation scripts that can be executed on demand.
You will be helping us in reducing the manual execution time and reducing cost across different projects/programs within the factory.
Gain exposure to a variety of systems and applications within the Corporate & Commercial banking realm. Use your creativity to solve the technical challenges and turn them into solutions.
Lead a team of automation engineers, provide technical leadership, and help them grow.
In this role you will:
- Creates the automation strategy/plan for the assigned projects/programs with a special focus on ROI - Return on Investment
- Challenge the classical and manual way of thinking by holding constructive dialogue with different stakeholders and gradually changing their mindset
- Manage the building CI/CD pipelines or embedding automation into the pipelines
- Conducts code reviews in line with the bank's coding and framework standards
- Ability and willingness to roll their sleeves and get involved in coding, executing scripts, and reporting
What will make you stand out?
Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar
Highly experienced in automation/RPA
Must come from a development/coding background and gradually moved into the role of an Automation Lead. Development/Engineering Leads could be considered for this role
Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in the automation space and preferably gained within the banking/financial services domain
Excellent understanding of the different types of automation frameworks such as: Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, Appium, and Karate
Creates the automation strategy/plan for the assigned projects/programs with a special focus on ROI - Return on Investment
A creative thinker that solves complex problems by proposing different types of solutions that add immediate and visible value
Advanced proficiency in programming languages relevant to test automation such as Java and Python
Good knowledge of databases such as MS SQL, Oracle or MongoDB. Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Shell Scripting, PowerShell, and Python
Designing, configuring, and customising Jenkins based build reports such as HTML Publisher, Cucumber Reports, and specially Allure Reports
Proficient knowledge and experience in the following tools: Git/GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Selenium, UFT, and BrowserStack
Provide technical leadership to the junior automation engineers. Creates and maintains a positive atmosphere within the team
Highly motivated lead with a positive attitude. 100% delivery focused, follows the line manager's instructions, and stays away from politics

The Engineering & Delivery area is responsible for the build, test and implementation of key systems that serve both the our internal and external customers. As well as providing the build services the area also provides Design capability to projects alongside development and testing environments and full project testing capability. The Engineering & Delivery team work very closely with the Change Team and Technology Services.
