Associate - Pricing, Forecasting & Market Insights

What is the opportunity?

This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK Savings Business in a role that will see you be heavily involved in the optimisation of pricing to deliver target balances and support on the overall pricing strategy by using commercial, competitor and market insight to spot trends and opportunities in the competitor and wider UK savings environment.

Location - successful candidate can be based in Belfast, Bristol or London

In this role you will:

  • Develop a detailed understanding of business financials and the key drivers.
  • Assist with preparation of pricing recommendations supported by detailed analytics and commercial impacts on the business in a manner that ensures that needs of all partners are balanced, customer impacts are considered and risks (including conduct risk) are assessed and mitigated.
  • Use commercial, competitor and market insight to spot trends and opportunities in the competitor and wider UK savings environment and suggest appropriate response.
  • Contribute to forecast process by interpreting results and provide details on variances and work with the Savings Portfolio Modelling team to support on the continuous improvement of the Portfolio Forecasting model to maintain its relevance and also improve functionality, speed and accuracy over time.
  • Support the Lead - Pricing, Forecasting, Market Insights and Fair Value on the development and enhancement of fair value assessments of all open and closed savings products (30+).

  • Good understanding of the UK retail financial services market and savings products
  • Proven analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret large volumes of data, and identify potential opportunities for efficiencies and improvements
  • Skilled in internal and external stakeholder management
  • Ability to summarise large amounts of data or information and distil into key messages
  • Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written, with the confidence to present to senior management.
  • Results oriented self-starter and great team mate, with the flexibility to operate effectively, under pressure in a dynamic business environment.
