As Director-in-Training/Assistant Director at Explorers Surrey Hills- Stanley Terrace, you'll have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of running a childcare Centre by working closely with the Centre Director.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Centre
  • Manage and build relationships with employees, families, and the wider community
  • Maintain administrative functions
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture
  • Champion child safety and positive learning outcomes for every child under our care

In this role, you'll gain the experience and skills necessary to become a successful Centre Director in the future.

Centre Highlights:

Conveniently located off Canterbury road and walking distance from the Surrey Hills Train Station (and plenty of shops!), you'll find our beautiful early learning Centre. Our Centre is purpose-built with nine rooms, a state-of-the-art kitchen, landscaped outdoor play areas, interactive learning spaces and a central piazza for collaboration with children from across the Centre.

You will have:

  • Minimum Diploma level Early Childhood Education Qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in early childhood, preferably long day care
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a management role
  • A sound understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education
  • Strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS
  • First Aid Training
  • Asthma and Anaphylaxis Training
  • Valid Working with Children Check (Employee) and Mandatory Reporting
  • Australian working rights - Visa/Passport
