Job Description

Zoom by Ocado is changing the way people shop for groceries. Our mission is to deliver a full shop in under 60 minutes, and our site in Leyton is at the heart of this revolution. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Team Manager to lead our site operations, inspire our colleagues, and ensure we exceed customer expectations every single time.

As a Team Manager, you will be the driving force behind the daily success of our operation. You will lead and motivate your teams to achieve outstanding results in a time-sensitive environment, championing a culture where people are empowered to do their best work.

What You'll Do

  • Motivate, coach, and develop a diverse team of warehouse and delivery colleagues (including agency staff), fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing site culture. You will be accountable for employee engagement, training, and succession planning.
  • Take ownership of site safety and wellbeing, ensuring all operations adhere to the highest Health & Safety standards. You will be the role model for a "safety-first" mindset.
  • Manage the end-to-end site operation, from goods-in to the final mile. You will analyse performance metrics, identify areas for continuous improvement, and implement strategies to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Ensure your team consistently delivers the world-class service our customers expect. You will maintain impeccable standards of housekeeping, product quality, and food safety.
  • Act as a key point of contact, communicating business results and initiatives to your team. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and collaborate with internal support functions like HR, Planning, and Risk Management to achieve site-wide targets.
