An opportunity has risen in Canine Activities Department for a Youth Training and Volunteer Development Manager.

Responsible For:

The management of the development of youth and volunteer services provided by The Kennel Club

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in an educational role or youth organisations.
  • Managed a development programme for young people
  • Relevant safeguarding experience and/or training
  • Previous experience of running or overseeing offsite educational events such as camps or outwards bounds
  • Experience of overseeing the writing of policies and documents
  • Fundraising/sponsorship management experience
  • Volunteer management and recruitment experience
  • A good knowledge of canine activities or a willingness to learn
  • the ability to communicate clearly to children and adults

We are looking for a Youth Training and Volunteer Development Manager who will have excellent time management and organisational skills. Alongside the desire to assist the department to grow moving forward. You will need to be reliable and flexible with a can-do attitude and be respectful when dealing with internal and external customers. To excel in this role, you will have the ability to work alongside other members of the team and take ownership for the tasks you are given.
