About the team:

MARK/PSC proposes a unique continuum of expertise that offers unparalleled global access to a complete cross-asset service in cash and listed derivative instruments across Equities, Fixed Income, and Over-the-Counter ("OTC") Derivatives (Foreign Exchange, Rates and CDs).

MARK/PSC offers a client-focused model, a simple managed account structure (including a state-of-the-art prime brokerage web portal: Pulse) and a global 24/6 follow-the-sun service throughout the trade cycle.

• Our Offering gives clients unique cross-asset solutions across execution, clearing, custody and financing services

• Truly multi-asset and multi-instrument Prime Brokerage services across Listed Derivatives, Equities (cash/synthetic), FX, Fixed Income and OTC Cleared; with tailored financial engineering, portfolio management, and capital introduction & advisory

• Global Execution Services: a single point of access to more then 125+ worldwide markets and execution venues with state-of-the-art Quantitative Electronic Services

• Prime Services & Clearing (PSC) is part of the EQD departments at SG. Within this group, we offer clients market access via the cash world as well as synthetic solutions via Cross-Asset and Equity Swaps

• In addition to this, we offer wide access to Futures; both Execution and clearing services

• FX Prime Broking

• Vanilla Repo and cash financing services is also part of this group

• Commitment to provide guidance and after-sales services and to work towards technology enhanced services

Summary of Key Purposes of the Role:

Support the Cross Asset Securities Finance UK Sales team in a number of roles:

• To cover defined Synthetic Prime Brokerage clients based in London for all their financing, short cover and execution needs in Europe. Clients in other regions may also require coverage for their European balances

• To serve as the coordinator on global balances of London based clients where business is originated from London

• To cover some CEEMA clients for their Delta One financing needs

• To cover UK asset managers, ETF providers, sovereign wealth fund, hedge funds, and pension funds for their Delta One financing needs, including cash reinvest / LCR trades to help manage the financial resource efficiencies of the bank

Responsibilities:

Client Coverage Responsibilities

• To work with the PSC platform sales team and other teams within MARK and GLBA to identify appropriate clients who fit our current PSC / Delta 1 offering with a view to increasing profitability and Synthetic Prime Brokerage / Delta 1 balance

• To work closely with trading teams to identify axes and show them into clients in an appropriate fashion

• To manage existing client relationships to ensure we maintain appropriate balance and levels of profitability across the book

• To work with partners in ITEC, OPER and RISK to ensure operational and credit risks related to our business is well managed

• To identify cross selling opportunities with our clients and introduce them to other teams within MARK

• To identify REPO and Delta 1 opportunities where they exist with our clients and monetise appropriately

• Support development of relationships and execute transactions with these clients

• Provision of a high level of operational support to the sales teams (subject to certification from compliance) such as; running client specific credit checks, writing daily financing flow updates.

• Support new client on-boarding e.g. request documents where necessary

Product Scope Responsibilities

• Execution of relevant product transaction on behalf of SG Clients and pricing in line with policies and guidelines applicable. Making sure that all the procedural guidelines e.g. KYC, Mifid, risk controls, product governance are observed.

• Data management including but not limited to, CRM, sales-credit process and PnL data

Knowledge Management Responsibilities

• Maintain up to date intelligence on market initiatives and client demands

Profile required

• Good market knowledge and experience in Investment banking/ financial services industry

• Sound numerical and Literacy skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Team player, proactively shares information and collaborates with others

• Highly motivated, proactive and entrepreneurial

• Reliable professional conduct

• Ability to work autonomously and be responsible for following matters through to completion

• Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for numbers with excellent attention to detail
