Workplace Strategist at Associate Director or Project Director level to lead our London interiors team. This is a pivotal role within a 300-strong studio, designed for a strategic thinker who can navigate the complexities of high-profile corporate, banking, and legal environments.
In a world where the "office" is being redefined, you will be the lead advisor to C-suite clients, helping them translate organizational culture into high-performance spatial environments.
The Role: From Vision to Validation
As a senior leader, your focus will be on the critical early stages of the design lifecycle (RIBA Stages 1-3). You won't just be managing projects; you will be defining the future of work for some of the world's most influential brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Briefing: Lead complex workplace consultancy engagements, including occupancy analysis, sensor data interpretation, and stakeholder interviews.
- Design Direction: Champion the "Workplace Narrative," ensuring that early-stage concepts (RIBA 1-2) are grounded in data and aligned with the client's business goals.
- Client Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for banking and legal clients, facilitating high-stakes visioning workshops and steering committee presentations.
- Team Mentorship: Oversee a multidisciplinary team of designers and strategists, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and professional growth.
- Business Growth: Support the interiors leadership in business development, contributing to pitches and identifying emerging trends in the London commercial market.
Requirements:
We are looking for a hybrid professional-part researcher, part designer, and part business consultant.
- Education: Degree qualified in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related strategic field.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years in workplace/commercial interiors, with a proven track record in the Banking, Legal, or Professional Services sectors.
- Technical Savvy: Intermediate proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required to oversee team workflows and spatial coordination.
- Analytical Mindset: Experience using data visualization or workplace analytics tools to support design decisions.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation skills; the ability to articulate complex spatial strategies to non-designer audiences (CFOs, HR Directors, COOs).
