We have an exciting opportunity to join the growing End User Experience UK department as an Office 365 (o365) Engineer, supporting multiple high-profile clients as part of the Capgemini portfolio. The role of the o365 / Google Engineer is forward-thinking and encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities. These include managing collaborative systems and applications, maintaining standard operating environments, utilizing standard support toolsets, adhering to Capgemini processes, and overseeing enterprise systems. As an o365/ Google Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, security, and scalability of our Office 365 platform, enabling our organization to leverage its full potential for improved productivity and collaboration. 

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time. 

Your role

The responsibilities of our o365 / Google Engineers include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertaking performance monitoring, tuning, fault diagnosis, incident, and request resolution. Support and manage scheduling of project work tasks and liaise with Project Managers to achieve planned deliverables.
  • Undertake Problem Management tasks by ITSM best practice. Coordinate incident, problem, and request queues, involving other team resources as required.
  • Troubleshoot and support o365 and Google to achieve BAU SLA commitments. Build and configure collaborative applications as per Low-Level Designs (LLD).
  • Produce working documentation regarding toolset or service configuration.
  • Involvement in new IT Infrastructure projects and expected to work a reasonable amount of overtime to cover outage slots.

Your skills and experience

The ideal candidate will possess a client-oriented mindset with a keen eye for detail and a team-working nature. Time management skills are key. They will also have a working knowledge of the following:

  • Google Workspace Incident/Ticket management (Remedy)
  • Google Workspace administration (Google Admin Console)
  • MS 365 Incident/Ticket management (Remedy)
  • MS 365 administration (MS 365 Admin Console) 

Your security clearance

Security Check (SC) Clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.

Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality. Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.
