Job Description

This is an exciting role at the heart of our L&G people strategy. Working with HR, our businesses, Finance and other stakeholders to implement people data, workforce planning and insights strategies, working to shape the future of Legal & General's workforce. You will be developing and delivering people reporting, dashboards and insights to inform business decisions, improve employee experiences and drive investment and innovation.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading on development and delivery of reporting, dashboards, storyboards and deep dive analysis to inform the business, ensuring we are measuring the right things to drive business growth and performance.
  • Providing business-wide data driven people insight, including conclusions and recommendations, to inform strategy and action.
  • Supporting the delivery of strategic workforce planning, modelling and forecasting, aligning business plans with capability needs, identifying workforce gaps and predicting future impacts. Help to build plans to mitigate risk to future growth.
  • Driving insights capability development, developing advanced and predictive analytics capability and building insights capability in HR.
  • Working with HR Systems and Operations to develop and implement people data strategy, and ensure appropriate data governance, compliance and integrity controls are in place.
  • Leading the Workforce Planning & Insights team.

Qualifications

Who we're looking for:

You will have:

  • First-hand knowledge and practical application in designing and implementing complex data structures, strong logic and analytical skills, including data analysis and problem solving.
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and conducting complex quantitative and qualitative analyses that identify trends in workforce behaviours.
  • Expert knowledge and practical application of data analytics, visualisation and reporting using various tools. Experience in PowerBI and Alteryx is desirable
  • First-hand knowledge and application of predictive modelling and statistical methods (such as R or Python) is desirable.
  • Broad and deep technical understanding of different analytics, tools and metrics and experience in communicating them to a wide audience.
  • The ability to adapt communication styles to suit the audience and messaging, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work with multiple data sources and combining relevant information to generate insights from analyses; creating effective presentations.
  • The ability to quickly grasp complex business problems, develop a logical/rational framework for investigating the problems.
