Wine Development Manager

Key Purpose Statement:
As the Wine Sales Development Manager, you'll drive strong sales growth by expanding our wine portfolio across London. Being WSET qualified, you'll share your enthusiasm for wine by building key customer relationships and lead the education of teams and customers to achieve budgeted margin and revenue targets. Your remit is to grow the category with a results-driven sales strategy to elevate our composite offer.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Drive sales and profitability through strategic account management, identifying opportunities and securing new business throughout London.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with existing customers and prospects, enhancing their wine offer on-site, adding value at all levels.
  • Collaborate with our London sales team, to identify gaps and opportunities, and create a targeted sales-driven strategy to achieve individual and overall budgets.
  • Detailed reviews of sales reporting to ensure volume, revenue and margins targets are achieved across your respective accounts.
  • Deliver expert wine training and education sessions to both internal teams and customers, ensuring all teams benefit from your commercial wine expertise.
  • Manage pricing to produce and develop wine menus, utilising your in-depth knowledge of the on-trade to support site requirements, with seasonal updates.
  • Organise and conduct customer wine events, to showcase our portfolio and foster loyalty and engagement in our range.
  • Work closely with key producers in trade to add value at all levels; and to support wine procurement teams' development of the portfolio.

Experience Required:

  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, effectively engaging with customers & colleagues.
  • Exceptional organisational capabilities, with a proficiency in excel and administrative tasks.
  • Self-driven with an ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a collaborative team.
