Widening Participation Manager - Outreach

The University of Central Lancashire is recruiting a Widening Participation Manager to work within our Widening Participation team to manage a new programme of outreach activity linked to academic development of secondary school and college students. This is a fixed term contract for 24 months due to uncertain demand.

The role will oversee the existing University's Scholars Programme and develop a new suite of activities and workshops that develop academic skills for Y10-13 students. The post-holder will be responsible for designing and delivering workshops in schools and colleges to help support students develop skills such as academic self-efficacy and revision techniques. They will line-manage outreach officers working on the Scholars and Academic Development programmes as well as developing and maintaining networks of internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have a good honours degree in any subject and a proven track record of developing innovative activities and programmes. They will have experience managing teams and projects, and experience of collecting and using data to monitor and evaluate projects, along with being an excellent presenter and communicator.

This role involves visiting schools and colleges across the North West and therefore requires the post-holder to hold a full clean driving license and the ability to drive to different locations.
