As a Junior Full Stack Developer at Currys, you'll collaborate closely with our development team to optimise workforce efficiency across our stores in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Your primary focus will be on website development and insights visualisation, enabling our stores to achieve exceptional customer results while maintaining an efficient cost base.
You'll sustain and update our internal Workforce Management portal, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data. Leveraging this information, you'll translate complex data into actionable insights for our stores delivered through the platform.This will all be achieved by maintaining and utilising our databases generated from our scheduling engine, creating effective queries then visualising this data on our internal website.

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Day-to-day support of our internal Workforce Management system (.NET Framework/SQL/Bootstrap
  • CreatingSQL queries and reports to support business requirements and requests
  • Taking business requirements and turning them into actionable web pages/reports
  • Acting as a technical liaison for the users, providing support or challenge to WFM website users where appropriate

Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience required:

  • Minimum 1 year core proficiency in C#/.NET Framework
  • Knowledge of SQL Server (SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Functions)
  • Knowledge of web development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Bootstrap/jQuery)
  • Keen to learn new systems and technologies
  • Willingness to take initiative, and adapt to working under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills between peers, users and third parties
  • Lateral, strategic and analytical thinker
  • C# Unit Test Development (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of site deployment (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of MS365 Apps (including SharePoint, Power Automate, and PowerBI) (Desirable)
  • Retail experience, or knowledge of retail industry (Essential)
  • Data analysis skills - able to work with extremely large data sets in a logical and methodical way (Desirable)
  • Knowledge and experience using Integration Services (SSIS) Packages (Desirable)
